LoviSil® Oil Refill Splices

Maintaining aging infrastructure is key to efficient network investment. The LoviSil® oil refill cable splice provides a cost-effective way to extend the life of PILC cables by preventing paper drying and ensuring continuous oil flow-even after transitions to polymeric systems.

The LoviSil® oil refill cable splice is designed to maintain oil integrity in paper-insulated lead-covered (PILC) cables during transition to modern systems. Thanks to its smart manifold construction and integrated oil supply connection, this cable splice offers:

  • Extended cable life by preventing dehydration of paper insulation in PILC cables
  • Minimal cable intervention through non-invasive sheath removal and external manifold connection
  • Cost savings and reliability, especially in hybrid networks with PILC and XLPE infrastructure
